hens invitation

here's chelseas hens invite i said i'd upload. The theme was "beachy", as we are going to a teeny beachside town half hour out of Victor Harbor called "normanville" - so nice! We've booked a holiday home there for about 8 of us girls. I didn't want to do the cliche "frangipanies" (yuck!) or anything obviously blue & yellow. So i went with a "nautical" twist.
cardboard = rustic, sandy, beach shak
ivory card = sand element
shells = shells (duh)
and the lace & bow are there to soften it up, and make it a bit more girly!

The invites were accompanied with a "advice for the bride" card.

Oh, and do you know how hard it was to find those shells?? haha. We live where there is heaps of beaches, yet not one had any shells, grr. Not even the shops had any...And then a week after I'd posted them, I'd found that sam’s mum has a whole jar of them on display in her bathroom!

the new house!

so we moved into our new place this weekend! absoultley love it. we're actually finding it hard to fill up the space! we got the wood fire going last night - so toasty and warm! all we need now is a bedframe. the matress doesnt deserve to be on the floor in such a nice house, hehe. VISITORS WELCOME ANYTIME!!

oh, and my camera arrived in mildura last week, so ryan forwarded it onto our new address. we kept an eye on the mail all week and it didn't arrive. UNTIL: we walk into our new place for the first time, and there was a pile of mail on the fireplace the previous owner had kept for us. and what'dya know, MY CAMERA!!! i was so excited i jumped around the lounge room dancing for a good two minutes. here are some "new camera-new home" shots:

Just some recent invitations I've done for friends..
I've also done Chelsea's Hens invitation, but it was more a "cutting and pasting" crafty kind of job. Will take a pic and upload soon.
Next lot of design work will be a "sweets table" for my body shop party. (see example below) The colour theme: yellow sorbet. It'll be my first crack at a sweets table, so I hope it turns out okay.

After that, it's Kiras Ktichen Tea invitations! Busy busy busy. But I love being able to help my friends out, espcially when I get to do fun creative stuff!
