Tailem Bend witno trip
"Can I keep it Krystal!?" |
On Saturday our congregation had a rural witnessing trip out to Tailem Bend. A few friend from Adelaide came down and stayed with us the weekend so they could come along too.
We ended up an hour past Tailem Bend at Tintanara. Didn't find many home/or interested, but it was still an awesome day!
One house, where there was no one home, we found heaps of little puppies running around! As Ally opened the door to get out, one of the pups jumped right into the car and onto my lap! They kept on trying to get in the car, it was so cute :)
Sam grew quiet attached to the puppie in the picture!

Brownie Pops
UNTIL ....
I discovered the gooey goodness of Brownie Pops. What are brownie pops you ask? BROWNIES. IN A POP.
All I did was buy a couple packet mixes. Cook them. Then roll them into balls! I dipped them in either milk chocolate, or white chocolate. I either coated them in nuts, or decorated them in the opposite colour chocolate.
To make them more presentable I wrapped them in cellophane, tied a ribbon around it, and stuck a personal label on it.
Thankyou goes to Sam for putting up with me in the kitchen for 5 hours, and helping me roll steaming hot brownies into balls. Oh, and testing each batch to make sure they taste ok! ;)

Remember how Kaitlin's "signature dish" was her choc chip cookies? Well I've tried and tried to find "my dish" - but being the fail-cook I am, nothing stuck.UNTIL ....

They were such a success! :) They are perfect favours for guests to take home.My next batch will be for Aimee's baby shower. Can't wait to make them, they are going to be so cute!

10 days in Queensland
We recently went to QLD for 10 days, for our 1 year anniversary. Spent a few days with Joel, Katrina, Brianna & Sophie, and a few days with Shane & Luke. Had a blast! Went to dreamworld/white water world. Went shopping in surfers paradise, harbor town, chermside westfield and brisbane city. Went to Ripley's "Believe it or Not" and the new "Infinity" attraction (I nearly had a heart attack - so dark and closed in!!!) Had our first MAX BRENNER treat. Adelaide needs to get one!
Checked out the muesum, gallery of modern art, and science centre. Had a look around South Bank, and went to the night market. Went on an all day tall ship sailing cruise to McLarens Landing (where the above picture was taken) - so many activities!!
Although I think my stomach had enough of the thrill rides and over eating, Saturday night and all day Sunday I was stuck in bed chucking! NOT FUN.
Now we're thinking about our 2nd year anniversary holiday. Im sure it'll come around just as quick!
Give a man a rope, and he'll be entertained for hours! |

Hello blog
The happiest day of our lives. |
Our first post.
I suppose the purpose of this will be to keep the family in touch with all the latest happenings. In case you're really out of the loop - Sam and I got married. 1 year, 5 weeks and 2 days ago. Currently no children or pets. Looking for a slightly larger place to rent. And considering buying a scooter.
The rest of the year is a busy one for our friends. Four weddings, three engagements, two hens & kitchen tea's and four babies due.
So in case you don't see much on here for a while - that's where we'll be!
